There are a lot of holiday rep jobs available and it can be a fun way to make money either as a summer job during college or even a full-time job. Many holiday companies are always looking for seasonal workers and there are also a number of different jobs to choose from. They can range from general customer service, children’s entertainment, nursery jobs and even working as a life guard. The qualifications needed vary depending on the type of job but generally a good positive attitude and enjoyment of helping others is all that is required for most jobs, that and the fact you have to be over 18 or 21 in some cases. Of course having a Travel and Tourism qualification is beneficial and it will also help if you can speak another language but they are not strictly essential.

Travel the world and get paid? Sounds like a dream come true for most but it is actually possible by becoming a holiday rep. There are holiday rep jobs available from many different companies and there are many destinations to choose from. Whether you are looking for a summer job while studying or a full-time career opportunity becoming a holiday rep is a great way to have fun in the sun.
What exactly is a holiday rep?
Basically a holiday rep is there to make sure that the holiday makers have a good time during their stay and to ensure great customer service. There are many different types of reps from children’s entertainers to life guards and anyone with good common sense and good communication skills should be able to find something to suit them.
What do you need to become a holiday rep?
The qualifications vary for each type of job. Obviously you have to like working with children to work in children’s entertainment or in a nursery. Generally speaking you have to be over 18 (or 21 in some cases) and although having a qualification in Travel and Tourism will help a lot, it is not mandatory. Speaking a foreign language can also benefit your job application but again it is not strictly required as most employers will just be looking for fun outgoing people who enjoy helping others.
Most holiday companies will start hiring around November/December in order to fill the vacancies for the following year, but you can still apply throughout the year as there may still be positions open.
